A favorite family photo, your baby’s first Christmas, or a moment from a trip you still talk about can become an ornament you look forward to hanging every year. At Shutterfly, we make it easy to turn those memories into personalized photo ornaments, with styles for your own tree and gifts for the people you love. Finding a great deal starts with choosing an ornament that fits your budget, checking current offers, and planning your order with shipping in mind. Here’s how to get the best Shutterfly photo ornament deals and create meaningful keepsakes for less.

1. Choose Metal Photo Ornaments for the Most Affordable Option

If keeping the price low is your priority, start with our metal photo ornaments. Metal is our least expensive ornament type, making it a great choice for an annual family keepsake or gifts for several people on your list. You can still make each ornament your own with favorite photos, names, dates, and a message that captures the moment. Plus, metal ornaments include free back personalization, giving you more room for photos and text without an added customization charge.

2. Check Current Shutterfly Ornament Deals Before You Buy

Before placing your order, visit our Special Offers page to see the latest ornament deals and promotions. A sale can help you save on an affordable metal ornament or bring another favorite style, such as glass or ceramic, within your budget. Offers change throughout the year, so check the details for the ornament you want rather than assuming every style has the same discount. Look for the offer’s expiration date, any exclusions, and whether you need a promo code. Some discounts apply automatically, while others require a code before checkout.

3. Look for Black Friday and Cyber Monday Ornament Deals

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are good times to check our current offers as you work through your holiday gift list. Look for eligible ornament discounts and shipping promotions, then compare the total for the styles and quantities you want. You don’t have to wait until those shopping events to start designing, though. Choose your ornament, upload your photos, and save your project ahead of time so it’s ready when you find an offer you want to use. If an earlier sale gives you a price you’re happy with, that can be a good time to order, too. The right deal should fit both your budget and your holiday timeline.

4. Sign Up for Shutterfly Emails to Stay Updated on Offers

Signing up for Shutterfly promotional emails is an easy way to hear about sales, exclusive offers, and upcoming shopping events. If you’re planning to make photo ornaments for the holidays, those updates can help you spot an offer while there’s still time to use it. Check each promotion’s details to see if ornaments are included and when the offer ends. Having your photos selected and your project saved makes it easier to take advantage of a limited-time deal without rushing through your design.

5. See Which Eligible Promotions You Can Combine

You may be able to save more by combining eligible offers on the same order. For example, an ornament discount may work with a qualifying shipping promotion, depending on the terms. Some Shutterfly offers can be combined, while others cannot, so review the details before counting on both savings. Apply any required codes in your cart and check the order summary to confirm that the eligible discounts appear. Comparing the final total helps you choose the offer or combination of offers that gives you the most value for your purchase.

6. Plan Your Ornament Gifts Together to Make the Most of Shipping Offers

Making ornaments for grandparents, siblings, friends, and your own tree? Plan those gifts together before ordering, then check whether your purchase qualifies for a current shipping offer. You can also consider other Shutterfly gifts you already planned to buy when reviewing an eligible order minimum. Keep the total cost in mind: adding an item makes sense when it’s something you need and the savings work in your favor. If you’re buying just one ornament, compare the price with shipping included so you know what you’ll pay before placing the order.

7. Order Early to Keep Shipping Costs Down

Give yourself enough time to create your ornaments, review the photos and text, and choose a shipping option that fits your budget. Ordering ahead gives you more flexibility to select a lower-cost delivery method instead of needing faster shipping close to your gift exchange or holiday gathering. Check the estimated arrival date before checkout, especially if you plan to wrap the ornaments or mail them to loved ones yourself. A little planning can help you keep the savings from your ornament deal and have your gifts ready when you need them.
